Staff Reports | Digital Free Press

Ballet dancers create art with their bodies on stage, but Ballet Arizona will celebrate the work of the dozens of artists behind the scenes who bring the company’s movement to life at the inaugural Fashion & Fizz fundraiser.

The event is hosted by the organization’s junior board — the Ballet Arizona Contemporary Council.

For the first time ever, Ballet Arizona fans will have the opportunity to get up-close-and-personal looks at the stunning and intricate costumes that the dancers wear on stage, according to a press release.

All proceeds support Ballet Arizona, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization that relies on donations from benefactors and the community to produce its critically acclaimed performances throughout the season, the release states.

The inaugural Fashion & Fizz Fundraiser hosted by Ballet Arizona’s Contemporary Council is a runway show to admire the beautiful work of Ballet Arizona fashion designers with a behind-the-scenes look at colorful and intricate costumes, proponents of the event offer.

Cost is $50 for general admission, which includes one drink and raffle ticket. There is also an $80 VIP option, which includes two drink tickets, one raffle ticket, admission to VIP lounge and private bar, reserved seating for the fashion show, light hors d’oeuvres.

Also, there is a $125 Premium VIP option that includes the same additions as VIP but with front row reserved seating for the fashion show.
